For the first time since 13 years –  4:1 victory against Spain in february 1995 – Vienna was the location for another davis-cup contest. The Austrian Team played in the first round against the USA from february 8 till february 10.

Erstmals seit 13 Jahren – seit dem 4:1 über Spanien im Februar 1995 – war Wien wieder Schauplatz eines Davis-Cup-Länderkampfes. Das österreichische Team empfing vom 8. bis 10. Februar 2008 in der ersten Runde der Weltgruppe im Ferry-Dusika-Stadion Rekordsieger USA.
